Garmin GTX 330 Transponder
Description
The Garmin GTX 330 / 330D (diversity) transponders meet the European Mode-S mandate and provide the US market with datalink expandability, including enabled services such as ADS-B and local traffic updates.
These full featured TSO certified transponders bring a unique level of functionality and utility to an aeroplane. The solid state transmitter provides 250 watts nominal power output and eliminates the need for a cavity tube which, sooner or later, will fail and require expensive replacement. And since the transponder's design is 100% solid state, there's no warm up time, lower power consumption and much lower heat emission. All of which translates to a longer service life.
Some of the GTX 330 / 330D biggest features are the easiest to see. Among them, the easy reading DSTN Liquid Crystal Display which reverses the numbers out of black for optimal viewing. An innovative keypad makes entering a squawk code a snap. And a dedicated VFR button allows for quick and easy 7000/VFR squawking.
The GTX330 and 330D also offer several timing and display functions: flight time, count-up timer, count-down timer, or current pressure altitude. Other features include remote ident and auto standby. Together, these functions represent a whole new standard in transponder utility.
