The inReach Mini has a few functions that work without an inReach subscription plan, but there are a number of communication features that require an active plan. See below for more information on both.
When you power on your Mini, select your language and you will reach a message stating, “Device Setup”. From this screen, select Skip with the OK button and the Mini is ready to use.
NOTE: It is not recommended to use the Mini without a subscription due to its less substantial navigation and smaller screen.
