Messages to the Garmin International Emergency Response Coordination Center (IERCC), during an SOS are not charged. For messages to anyone other than the IERCC during an SOS, standard messaging charges will be applied.
You will need an inReach plan for other messages.
The number of included messages depends on the level of service you signed up for:
- Safety Plan:Â 10 messages
- Recreation Plan:Â 40 Messages
- Expedition and Extreme2Â Plans:Â unlimited messages (overage charges do not apply)
